Clock Player

Last Updated: September 2026

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. This comprehensive Privacy Policy explains how Clock Player handles your device permissions and data. Clock Player is designed to operate entirely locally on your device.

1. Data Collection and Tracking

Clock Player does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, user analytics, telemetry, or crash reports. There are no third-party tracking SDKs integrated into the app.

2. Local Storage Access

The app requests access to your device's local storage solely for the purpose of playing the audio files you explicitly select. We do not index, modify, or transmit your media files off your device.

3. Network and Wi-Fi Access

Network permissions are required strictly for the "Remote Control" feature. This feature runs a local web server (on port 8080) directly on your device so you can control the clock and adjust settings from another device on the same local Wi-Fi network. No data is ever sent to external servers or the internet.

4. Device Settings and Time Automation

The app uses Wakelocks to keep the screen on while the clock is displayed and modifies screen brightness based on your automation preferences and inactivity dimming timeouts.

5. Notifications and Audio

The app requires notification permissions to run in the background (preventing the system from killing the alarm/music service). Audio (Text-to-Speech) is generated completely offline using your device's built-in TTS engine.

6. Changes to this Policy

Any updates to this policy will be reflected in this menu. By using Clock Player, you consent to this local-only data processing model.
